When lockdown is lifted I will hit the gym. God I miss the gym. I feel like I’ve been in bed for a month. I can’t wait to get back to my favourite treadmill, watch travel videos as I jog alongside them. Spin classes: as horrendous as they are I do miss them (never thought I would say that). When lockdown is lifted I will hit the gym.

When lockdown is lifted I will learn how to take proper photos. I have always wanted to take up photography, use a real camera and not just my phone. I will be able to go on day trips to different cities to hone my skills. I can’t wait to wander round the canals and take photos of boats, try and discover the best location for a sunset, wake up early to photograph the sunrise. When lockdown is lifted I will learn how to take proper photos.

Stunning view of Warsaw, Poland from my visit in 2018

When lockdown is lifted I will take my partner to Eastern Europe. We had a whole itinerary planned before everything fell to bits, hostels booked, holiday time taken from work. I can’t wait to finally be able to take him to Poland, to visit Ukraine for the first time together, see the sights of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. When lockdown is lifted I will take my partner to Eastern Europe.

When lockdown is lifted I will cook my parents dinner. I haven’t seen my parents in over a month now. I phone them a lot but not seeing them in so long is strange. I will cook them dinner, something they will like, just to show them how thankful I am that I have them. I’m a terrible cook. I will have to practise lots whilst still in isolation. When lockdown is lifted I will cook my parents dinner.

A cheeky drink with my boyfriend in the A’dam Tower Sky Bar overlooking Amsterdam

When lockdown is lifted I will finally visit Scotland. I live in the UK and have never been to Scotland before, can you believe it. I will go on a Harry Potter themed walking tour in Edinburgh, try Haggis, try and spot the Loch Ness Monster and go on some incredible hikes. When lockdown is lifted I will finally visit Scotland.

When lockdown is lifted I will go to the pub. Remember catching up with your friends over a cider? Playing pool? Saying cheers as glasses clink and football rages on TV? When lockdown is lifted I will go to the pub.

  1. Aww so nice to dream of what we can do when lockdown is lifted! I love that there are big things, like travel, but then small things like you say, like going to the gym or seeing family. I’m missing those things the most! I also like to think of all the things I get to do while in lockdown. I’m enjoying working on a book, doing some art, baking, going on long walks, etc. It helps to get through the days doing things I enjoy that I never usually make time for. Stay well!

  2. You can still take proper photos in lockdown iPhones are really good at macro photos try taking some up close pictures of plants playing with the focus. I hear you about missing the gym but you can do so many awesome home workouts, I have really enjoyed trying new workouts.

    1. You’re not wrong I love my iPhone camera but I just can’t wait to get to play with a nice mirrorless one! I’m constantly meaning to do some home workouts and putting them off but that is definitely something I need to do!

  3. Great plans!! I have been working out at home – YouTube videos. Eastern Europe is the best..I hope you guys have the best time!! Honestly, I want to go out to a nice restaurant when the lockdown is lifted. Another month 🙁

  4. These all sound like fab plans! First thing I’m going to do is squeeze my boyfriend, family and friends but then look to go away somewhere!

  5. Various things you have thought out to do after the lockdown is over 🙂

But you should also give credit to coronavirus that it has enabled us to give time to ourselves too. Otherwise we were so busy in our mechanic life like a robot.
